Mikhail Grechko

Biography of Grechko M.V.

Born in 1981 in the stanitsa of Kanelovskaya, Krasnodar Krai. From his school years, he was interested in history and economics, which later determined his professional interest in political economy and systems analysis.

He received his higher education at one of the leading regional educational institutions, graduating with honors from the Faculty of Technology and Entrepreneurship. After receiving his diploma, he continued his studies in graduate school. In 2004, he became a diploma winner of the All-Russian Competition for the Best Scientific Works of Young Scientists in Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, and Innovative Scientific and Educational Projects. During the same period, he was a member of the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Assembly of Rostov Oblast (Committee on Youth Education Issues). After graduate school, he successfully defended his dissertation for the academic degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in specialty 08.00.05 "Economics and Management of the National Economy."

He began his professional career at his alma mater, at the Department of Economics and Management of the Pedagogical Institute of Southern Federal University. As part of his scientific activity, he engaged with a wide range of scientific problems, including:

economics of education and culture; economic growth and its components; adaptive management; behavioral economics, systems analysis, evolution of economic systems, etc. Later, he completed training at the International School of Business Trainers (ICBT) in "Business Training Methods." He is a participant in the "Business Class" entrepreneurship skills development program (a joint project of Google and Sberbank).

In 2014, as part of an author collective, he became a laureate diploma holder of the All-Russian Competition for the Best Scientific Book of the Foundation for the Development of National Education and a finalist of the "Best Young Scientist of SFedU 2014" competition in the nomination "Best Young Scientist – Employee of SFedU," in the field of "Humanities and Social Sciences, Pedagogy." And in 2025, he became the winner of a regional competition in the nomination "Associate Professor of the Year of the Don - 2025."

He is currently the author of more than two hundred scientific publications, a patent holder, a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal "Creative Ecosystems and Tourism" of the Institute of Tourism, Service and Creative Industries of Southern Federal University, and an expert at the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Research Institute RINKCE of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. He has appeared as an invited expert on radio. He regularly participates in international conferences and expert discussions devoted to adaptive management, evolution of economic systems, creativity and creative thinking.

He currently lives in Rostov-on-Don, devoting himself to scientific and teaching activities at the Institute of Tourism, Service and Creative Industries of Southern Federal University. He is married and raising a daughter.
