Dhiraj Sharma is a faculty member in the Department of Management at Punjabi University in Patiala, India. He holds three postgraduate diplomas in finance, commerce, and business administration, as well as a doctorate in banking and technology. As part of his postdoctoral research, he implemented a major project on internet banking adoption, approved and funded by the University Grants Commission of India.
For over five years, he served as managing editor of a peer-reviewed national journal, and currently heads an international academic journal while regularly reviewing articles for other publications. He is the author of fourteen books and more than one hundred scholarly publications in collections, journals, and professional portals in India and abroad. Many of his books are used as textbooks and teaching materials in undergraduate and graduate programs at Indian universities. His research focuses on the intersection of economics, finance, and management, and also addresses themes of culture, literature, and social change, demonstrating how individuals and organizations adapt to evolving economic and social environments.
Beyond his primary work, Dhiraj Sharma pursues literature—writing fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. He is passionate about ornithology, nature and wildlife photography, and paints in realistic and semi-impressionist styles. He actively participates in government and community initiatives for bird watching, butterfly monitoring, and conservation of natural habitats.
